Aware Privacy Policy

Aware is a Chrome extension for digital wellbeing, breathing pauses, scroll reminders, distraction reduction, and local browsing insights.

Aware stores settings and wellbeing data locally in Chrome storage. This may include extension preferences, selected blocked or cleaned-up sites, browsing history summaries, site tags, pause/reminder counts, and focused active time.

Aware uses Chrome history only to generate local History Trends inside the extension. Aware does not sell, share, transfer, or upload this data to any third party. Data stays on the user’s device unless the user manually exports it.

Aware does not collect personally identifiable information, financial information, health information, authentication information, personal communications, or location data.

Aware may read page content or URLs only as needed to apply enabled features, such as hiding distracting interface elements, showing breathing or scroll reminders, and applying social or YouTube cleanup controls.

Users can reset or clear extension data through the extension’s controls or Chrome extension settings.
